Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park / Overnight Karatu

After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and October – the dry season. During the dry period (June to October) thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. In the process lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds and that is when nature rewards us with a spectacular show of prey vs predator. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have a picnic lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing. Later drive to Karatu for your overnight stay.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti- Overnight Serengeti

The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the northern Serengeti National Park and travel in the never-ending plain grasslands. Serengeti means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is a breathtaking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Sq km, it puts our notion about distance to shame. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of

Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and overnight.

Day 4: A full day Game drive of Serengeti/ Overnight Serengeti

Spend an entire day exploring the pristine wilderness of the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives. You will be amazed by the sheer abundance of wildlife,

from graceful antelopes to powerful predators, living in their natural habitat. Make sure to visit the Serengeti Visitor Center to learn more about the park's ecosystem and conservation efforts. After a day full of adventures, return for a delicious dinner and share tales around the campfire.

Day 5: Serengeti/Ngorongoro Crater – overnight Karatu

descend into the crater, and spend a full day doing

game drives inside the crater. One of the World’s largest

Calderas, 20 km wide, Ngorongoro Crater is also one of

above sea level is the largest unbroken Calderas in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls,

rising 610 m from the crater floor, it covers 260 km2 and is home

to over 30.000 animals, almost half of them being zebra and

wildebeest. Ngorongoro is listed as a World Heritage site. In the
